Music Director of Talenti Vulcanici since its foundation, he studied with Ottavio Dantone, with whom he established a strong professional bond since his student years. This bond soon led him to collaborate with the Accademia Bizantina. During the same years, he was regularly invited by prestigious ensembles all over Europe, the United States and Canada, including Giardino Armonico, Freiburger Barockorchester, Concerto Köln and Tafelmusik, under the direction of conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Ivor Bolton and Paul Goodwin. For a long period he was assistant to René Jacobs. Founder of Dolce & Tempesta, he was director in Barcelona of Academia 1750 and currently directs the orchestra of the Albanian armed forces for the ancient repertoire in Tirana. He has dozens of recordings to his credit for various labels and has participated in numerous television broadcasts for RAI (remembering the long collaboration with art critic Philippe Daverio). In 2018, Decca UK released a recording of J.S. Bach’s Art of the Fugue, in which he also appears as soloist. A passionate teacher, he regularly gives masterclasses all over the world, including the McGill Conservatory in Montreal and the ancient music courses in Urbino.
