SHUNTA MORIMOTO

PIANOFORTE

He was born in Kyoto in Japan in December 2014. He showed an extraordinary talent in piano demonstrating a big ability and astounding the world of music. In 2017, when he was 12 years old, he won the prestigious first prize and a scholarship called “ Fukuda Scholarship Award” that is an award given by “Piano Teachers Association of Japan “. It is one of the most important award for a young musician. Thank to it, he can study with some of the most important music pedagogues in the world. In May 2019, at the age of 14 years, he took part at the concert Van Cliburn Junior in Dallas in Texas with great public success. Many music critics, musicians and music fans of all the world followed his exhibitions on Internet. From there he began to perform in some concerts with important musicians and symphonic orchestras in Japan and abroad. In September 2020 he won the second prize in the competition “Piano Teachers Association of Japan” that is one of the most competition in Japan. After at this victory he played the third concert for piano and orchestra of S.Rachmaninov with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the sextet for piano and strings of Mendelssohn Bartholdy with the members of the Hagen quartet in Graz in Austria. In 2021 performed the concert for piano and orchestra in A minor of R.Schumann with Tacticart orchestra, the string quintet and piano of C.Franck and the second sonata for violin and piano of Brahms in Tokyo. Now he is studying with the professor William Grant Nabore’ as a special student of the International Piano Academy Lake Como and he is always studying piano accompaniment in the class of the professor Giovanni Velluti at the Conservatoire Santa Cecilia in Rome. In September 2020 he won the second prize in the competition “Piano Teachers Association of Japan” that is one of the most competition in Japan.
