The Quartetto Petra is an italian string quartet, founded in August 2023 and based in Turin.

The quartet was born in the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” of Turin from the artistic and professional collaboration of Ludovico Furlani and Gioele Pierro, violins; Chiara Tomassetti, viola; Viola Pregno Bongiovanni, cello.

The ensemble is regularly followed by M° Claudia Ravetto (former cellist of the Quartetto Borciani) and has deepened its knowledge of the repertoire by attending masterclasses held by Christophe Giovaninetti (former 1st violin of the Quatuor Ysaÿe), Daniel Roberts (2nd violin of the Castalian Quartet), Christophe Coin (cellist of the Quatuor Mosaïques), Simon Rowland-Jones and Giacomo Agazzini (former 1st violin of the Quartetto di Torino).

The repertoire being studied ranges from Haydn’s early quartets to Prokofiev, including Beethoven and Mendelssohn.
