Renowned and esteemed piano performer, Federico Gianello between 1998 and 2004 was awarded first prizes at the international piano competitions J. Brahms in Klagenfurt, E. Grieg in Oslo, S. Stancic in Zagreb, Premi Principat de Andorra, Concurso Internacional de Piano Compositores d'Espana de Madrid, G.B. Viotti in Vercelli, Città di Pinerolo, Città di Marsala and Premio A. Rendano in Rome.
He collaborates as a guest artist with Orquestra Sinfonica de Madrid, Greiz Symphoniker, West Czech Symphony, JSO Weimar, HRTV Zagreb Philharmonic, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Arena di Verona Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, I Virtuosi Italiani, GOG of Genoa, Orchestra da Camera di Padova e del Veneto, and for chamber music with violinists Noah Bendix-Balgley, Simone Bernardini, Glauco Bertagnin, violists Ania Serova, Eleonora De Poi, Alfredo Zamarra, with clarinetist Elena Veronesi and with the Zagreb Quartett.
He has been invited in radio and television recordings for RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana, Bayerische Rundfunk and Radio France.
He studied with Lazar Berman, Alexander Lonquich and Gerlinde Otto, graduating from the Hochschule F. Liszt in Weimar; decisive are the artistic exchanges with Martha Argerich, Aldo Ciccolini, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Louis Lortie and Maurizio Pollini.
During his carrer, he taught piano at the Musik Hochschule Franz Liszt in Weimar and now teaches Chamber Music at the Rimini Conservatory.
He is president of the Steinway Society in Verona and a Steinway Artist testimonial.
