Moser String Quartet

Moser String Quartet was born in 2020 from love and interest in chamber music, and a strong feeling for playing together and bringing them to everyone.
They are a string quartet based in Basel and studying in Hochschule für Musik Basel, receiving lessons from renowned musicians, such as Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet), Silvia Simionescu (Gringolts Quartet), Anton Kernjak and Anna Gebert.
Moser String Quartet has been invited to several festivals and masterclasses, such as Accademia Musicale Chigiana (Siena, Italy) with Maestro Bruno Giuranna; International Chamber Music Campus Jeunesses Musicales of Deutschland (Weikersheim, Germany) with Casals Quartet, Heime Müller (Artemis Quartet), and Günter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet); Espresso Masterclass (Alessandria, Italy) with Simone Gramaglia (Quartetto di Cremona), Jana Kuss (Kuss Quartet), and Martti Rousi.
In Basel Musik Akademie, they have also played in masterclasses for Eberhard Feltz (February 2022), Steven Isserlis ( October 2021) and Anthony Marwood (May 2021).
The Quartet has been awarded 1 st Prize ex aequo in Gran Premi Musical Lauredià (Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra 2021), and 2nd Prize ex aequo in Orpheus Chamber Music Competition (Switzerland 2021). They were finalist in the 9 th Edition of Antón García Abril International Chamber Music Competition in Baza (Granada, Spain). In 2021, Moser Quartet was selected to join Le Dimore del Quartetto Network.
Kanon Miyashita, Japanese-born violinist, studied at the Royal College of Music in London with Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky, and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Professor Bartosz Woroch. She moved to Basel to continue her studies with Professor Rainer Schmidt at
Hochschule für Musik Basel.
Patricia Muro was born in Logroño (Spain) and completed her studies in Musikene (Basque Country, Spain) with Catalin Bucataru and Tatiana Samouil. She has been a member of EUYO and concertmeister of JONDE. Now she is studying in Hochschule für Musik Basel with Barbara Doll.
Ariadna Bataller, born in València (Spain) finished her Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu (Barcelona) with professors Paul Cortese and Anna Puig. She has also been a member of JONC and JONDE. Ariadna graduated in master performance in the class of Silvia Simionescu at Hochschule für Musik Basel and is now doing her second master in music pedagogy.
Italian cellist Lea Galasso, studies with Prof. C. Poltéra at Hochschule für Musik Luzern, where she attends her second master in music pedagogy. She graduated with honours with Prof. I.
Monighetti at Hochschule für Musik Basel and with Prof. A. Meneses at Hochschule der Künste Bern. She participated in prestigious Academies such as Gstaad String Academy, Barenboim-Said Academy Masterclasses with renowned professors such as F. Helmerson, J.P. Maintz, I. Ozim, E. Causa
